As a new school within a highly aspirational and academically successful multi-academy Trust, Ada Lovelace CE High School offers comprehensive CPD, exciting development opportunities and good promotion prospects for its teachers.  The school, now in its fourth year, moved to its brand new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020. 


This is an exciting role for an enthusiastic Music Leader to shape their own department to create an inter-disciplinary approach to learning, delivering exciting music and musical theatre provision.  The student population at Ada Lovelace are extremely passionate about expressive arts and the successful candidate will be a key player in shaping the SMSC life of the school.


Ada Lovelace works collaboratively with other schools within the Trust – in particularly with our sister school, William Perkin CE High School, which has a very strong reputation for Music and expressive arts.  There will therefore be significant opportunities for joint working and the HOD will have access to the curriculum and wider resources already in place.  You will be joining a small but ambitious and energetic staff group that seeks to deliver an outstanding school, and you will be well supported by an experienced Senior Leadership Team. 


The new post-holder will be an enthusiastic Musician who is a strong classroom practitioner with a commitment to achieving the highest standards both academically and in terms of musical wider learning and musical theatre engagement.  The school is part of a Trust which places a very strong emphasis on Music as a vehicle to enrich the lives of all, where whole school singing, singing competitions, musical workshops are an integral part of school life. 


As a member of a Church of England Trust, the school also sees Music as providing an essential strand of our spiritual development and we have an in house team of peripatetic staff supported by a Head of Music Specialism and music administration team who will support the HOD with the wider learning offer.  The ideal candidate will be ambitious to develop music at the school.

The Twyford Trust

The Twyford Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community.  The Twyford Trust aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting, and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well.  Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the Trust is the overarching organisation which provides support for all Trust schools – the Trust comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing.  The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum which has had a powerful impact on the outstanding outcomes achieved in RE across both William Perkin and Twyford. Ada Lovelace CE High School, Ealing

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School opened in September 2018 and has had a smaller intake (125 students per year) for two years while co-located at William Perkin Church of England High School - an Ofsted Outstanding school - in Greenford.  The school moved to its brand new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020. It now has four Year Groups with a total of 650 students.  The school will have 1,330 students when full.  Ada Lovelace is named after the Victorian pioneer of computing – it has a specialism in digital technologies and will provide different routes from Year 7 in ICT and Computer Science as well as applications of Creative Media.  Ada Lovelace also benefits from specialist provision and support from within the family of Trust schools.
