William Perkin CofE High School

The Directors of the Trust opened William Perkin CofE High School, in Greenford, in September 2013.

The school was part of the Government's Free Schools initiative and was developed with the full support of the local authority, local parents and primary schools.

Although the school shares the Christian ethos and values of the Trust, it has an open admissions policy based mainly on proximity to the school.

The first cohort of year 7 students started in September 2013 and settled in quickly. The school has specialisms in Science, Languages, Music and RE/Chaplaincy.

The school is named after Sir William Perkin, a pioneering chemist in the 19th century. He was also an active Christian.
